Clips carrying a rendered effect are now drawn in gold, showing the rendered audio's own waveform rather than the dry source's. Processed material is obvious at a glance, including with a whole reel on screen. Play Rendered Effects (Control-Command-E) still switches instantly between the rendered version and the dry original.

AAF Player now appears in the Finder's Open With menu for .aaf files. It does not take the double-click default, which stays with whichever editor claims it.

The main counter keeps following the playhead while it is selected for copying, instead of freezing at the value it was clicked on.

Clip gain chips stay legible where they fall underneath a crossfade.

Fixes the reported length of AAFs whose sequence declares no duration. Some audio-only exports write a zero length while carrying a full programme, which left the timeline reading 00:00:00.000 and sent Go to End back to the start. Those sessions now report their true length and navigate correctly across it.

Fixes opening AAFs that link to their media rather than embedding it. This covers the common Avid case where the turnover is an AAF alongside an Avid MediaFiles folder, with the audio referenced instead of copied in. Sessions of this kind previously refused to open; they now load and play normally.

No other changes. If AAF Player already opens your turnovers, this update is optional.

Put your own logo and company name at the top of the report, on screen and in the printed PDF. Settings shows a box matching the space the report reserves: drop in an image, drag it to position it, and use the slider to zoom. Reports without a custom logo look exactly as they did before.

Activating a license now clears the trial notice in the title bar straight away, instead of leaving it there until the next launch.

Fixes two faults in how AAFs are read. Some Avid linked-media exports still refused to open after 1.0.1, and others opened but described a group clip instead of the delivered sequence. Both now read correctly.

Audio-only AAFs that carry no timecode now show their true duration, and report the frame rate as N/A rather than mistaking the audio sample rate for one.

Updating

Updating is a normal install: download the disk image, drag the app to Applications, and replace the copy that is there. Your license file stays valid, so you will not be asked to enter it again. If you need it, the license file was attached to your purchase email, and you can ask for another copy at licenses@parkstreetpostsoftware.com.

Trials update the same way, and reinstalling does not restart or extend the 14-day trial period.
