Privacy Policy

1. Who this covers

This policy covers parkstreetpostsoftware.com and the software published by Park Street Post, Inc. (Burbank, California), including AAF Look, AAF Player and WireRate.

2. The website

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operations. We run no analytics, no advertising trackers, and set no cookies on this site.

3. When you buy something

Purchases are processed by FastSpring, acting as our merchant of record, under FastSpring's own privacy statement; we never see your card number. From a completed purchase we receive your name, email address, country, and a transaction ID. We use these to issue your license, deliver it by email, and support you afterward. We do not sell or share this information for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

4. License files

Your software license is a small file containing your name, email address, and order ID, emailed to you after purchase through a transactional email provider. The file lives on your machine; the software reads it locally and transmits nothing.

5. The apps

Our software runs entirely on your machine. No telemetry, no usage analytics, no crash reporting, no account, no phone-home. The files you inspect never leave your computer. License checks happen locally and work with no internet connection at all.

The one exception is Check for Updates in AAF Look, and only when you choose it from the app menu. AAF Look then fetches a small version file from this website, a request our hosting provider logs like any other page view (see section 2). It sends nothing about you, your license, or your files, and it never checks on its own. AAF Player versions 1.0.0 to 1.0.3 do the same.

From version 1.1, AAF Player makes no network connections at all. Its Check for Updates opens the AAF Player page in your web browser, which is an ordinary visit to this website like any other.

WireRate works between two Macs, so it talks to the other Mac running WireRate over the Ethernet cable being tested: the two Macs exchange their names and models, a temporary identifier, their Ethernet adapter and link details, whether Low Power Mode is on, the test traffic itself, and the measurements. That exchange stays on the cable between those two Macs. Nothing reaches us, and WireRate has no Check for Updates. Results stay in the app until you quit it, unless you choose Copy Report, which puts the report on your clipboard.

6. Email

If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you and remember that we did. If you ask to be told when a new tool ships, we keep your email for that one purpose until you ask us to stop. We do not add it to any other list.

7. Who we share with

Only the services that make the above work: FastSpring, our merchant of record (payments and tax), a transactional email provider (license delivery), and our hosting provider. No data brokers, no ad networks, no sale of personal information.

8. Your rights

Email us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. We will answer within 30 days. Note that our payment provider is an independent controller of payment records; requests about payment data may also need to go to that provider. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California) you may have specific statutory rights; we honor them.

9. Retention

We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to support your license and meet legal obligations, then delete them.

10. Children

Neither the site nor the software is directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes and contact
